The Winter Warmth project is an emergency night shelter, providing a safe,
friendly environment with a hot meal in the evening and breakfast. It runs over
the winter period and is run by Aylesbury Homeless Action Group (AHAG) in partnership with AVDC, local churches (who provide venues and volunteers) and the local community. Access to a case worker is also available to guests.
Oaks is proud to play its role in this project.
In recognition of the huge success of the 2010/11 Winter Warmth project, it was fantastic to see the project be awarded the Pride of Aylesbury Vale 'Best Community Project' Award.
