Alpha (7:30PM - 9:30PM)

Alpha is an excellent opportunity for people to explore the Christian faith, meet new people and eat good food! The course itself lasts for 10 session’s and is an opportunity to look at Christianity in an informal setting, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The evenings start with food; there is then a brief talk about Christianity after which an informal discussion takes place based around the talk.

Subjects covered include...

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • How does God guide us?
  • What about the Church?
  • Christianity: Boring, Untrue and irrelevant?
  • How can I be sure of my faith'?
  • What about the Holy Spirit?
  • How can I make the best of the rest of my life?

The course is set out in such a way that makes it straightforward to follow, and does not make assumptions regarding your beliefs or opinions, so it is open to anyone, any age, and any background. There is certainly no pressure, you get the information, and the rest is up to you. If you do want guidance at any point, then there are always people around to help, but nothing is "forced"!
